Aunt Vilo lived next door to grandma. She endeared her self to all. She never married but cared for all as if they were her own children. She sewed incredible japanese costumes during the depression for my Mom and her sister and a made a doll house one Christmas my mom still remembers foundly. The lights in the room were made by strung Christmas lights. I remember when I was a little girl her outings taking us girl cousins for overnighters at grandpa’s cabin and Christmas mornings the hot jello water that celebrated the season with our relatives. My Aunt Melanie compiled a history about her of which this excerpt of her most tiring day ever is taken: http://www.reddfamily.org/?p=679
